Clinical psychologist Danaë Owen has over thirty years’ experience with diagnosing and treating children and young people from various backgrounds and cultures.

At Cairns Paediatric Psychology, we can help your children cope with health issues, adjust to major life events (like divorce), or manage feelings that are impacting on school, work or family relationships.

Danaë Owen

Danaë Owen is a Clinical Psychologist whose passion is supporting families and helping children and teenagers shine.

Her educational background includes post graduate qualifications in clinical psychology. The majority of Danaë’s career has been in the field of child and adolescent psychology. She obtained her first role in child protection services and subsequently worked in child and adolescent mental health settings in Queensland and Victoria.

Through these positions, Danaë has developed a keen interest in the clinical assessment of childhood disorders and the application of this work to the delivery of effective, evidence based therapeutic services to children and their families. Danaë has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society since 1993.

Glenice Sheppeard

Glenice Sheppeard’s role as Practice Assistant is integral to Cairns Paediatric Psychology.

Her qualifications include training in business administration, establishing effective workplace relationships, administration systems, managing client systems and cultural awareness training.

Glenice has worked in a variety of roles including school settings (primary and secondary). Her capacity to thrive in our busy workplace whilst still smiling contributes to the success of her role.
